Shabby Sweetness

This is one of my favorite spaces in RareHues.  It is so delicate, so soothing and so shabby.
All of the details are carefully selected  and placed.  So simple yet so elegant.
I have known the lady behind this space for several years.  She is a very kind soul and a very hard worker not only having this new space but another in town and keeping a space at the Monday flea market.  Her life has not been easy  and not wanting to go into details without her permission, I would just have to say that I would not have done as well as she.  I don't know if I would have ever recovered but she was left without a choice but to keep moving.
And so she moves...creating beauty with all her found treasures for others to love and enjoy.

Field of Dreams

When I was thinking about what to write the movie Field of Dreams came to mind.  Inspired by the line, " Build it and they will come," and the recent opening of A Modern Vintage Market called RareHues I thought of how so many lines in the movie rang true of this spectacular store.  It all started with a dream, one that Jen and Juan Carreno brought to life inside of an old Eckerd drug store in Carrollwood FL.
This Modern Vintage Market is the perfect harmony of nostalgic charm and contemporary design.
As you walk the 10,000 square feet in this Field of Dreams you will feel like you have " dipped yourself in magic water," at the discovery of so many talented artists, dealers and craftsmen with their breath taking displays of old and new.

"People will come....people will most definately come," to this wonderful place that "Reminds them that, what once was good can be good again," and you might even hear it whispered from this Field of Dreams,  "the old looks stunning next to the new!"
