Pink Saturday, Pink Bathroom

The Bathroom Renovation
There is nothing pink about this. It is scary and yellow and blue.
Ugly ugly ugly, this one needs flushed out.
Although probably charming in its time, down the wallpaper came.
Next the wallboard came off and we put in a walk in shower.
I would have loved a claw foot tub in the bathroom but have decide that it will come at a later date and perhaps right in the master bedroom. With the need to be practical as we will be retiring in this home and Dave has already had a hip replacement having large walk in showers just seemed right.
We added the beadboard and painted it PINK . We put up wallpaper and chose a nicer throne. The tile looks like marble in grey and white. New pedestal sinks, One for him and one for her.
We added two chandeliers. The ceilings are so tall that they just look perfect.
Thanks for peeking at my pink bathroom.

For more Pink Saturday pretties. Our host is Beverly at http://www.howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ and there are always such pretty things to look at. I am also participating in Tablescape and Recipes on my other blog.
If you like shabby chic I have a table that you might like.

Have a good weekend.

  2. Ooh, Becky! It looks beautiful. You did a wonderful job. And, the chandeliers are perfect.

We are contemplating the need to change one of our tubs to a walk-in shower. I have a hip issue, too.

    Happy Pink Saturday to you.

I love the sinks and the dresser too and the wallpaper is to die for!! Im such a fan of beadboard, it just adds such warmth to a space! I am in love with this bathroom and lucky you gets to relish in it every day ;) Congrats on finishing a masterpiece !!!

Business is good here, I keep it simple and try to do it part-time, so this year has been good to me ;) I was at a point last year where it was too much, then it just becomes a "job", so to keep my creative side fresh, I have to pace it all ;) I am going to peek at your site "lace and lures", im always looking for new links to forward to clients, so thanks! 10. What a terrific bath redo!! I loved every bit of it! Your special decorating touches are just wonderful---oh, those chandliers are divine!!!! Dana

I tried to leave you a comment on your tablesetting post, but it is not set up with the "Open ID option" like this one---I don't have a blogger account. But I will tell you---I loved your grandma's tableware, but I love your everyday items, too! Especially the glasses. As I was putting my tablesetting post together, I decided I needed some amber glasses to go with my vintage dishes I was sharing. I found some just like yours at a thrift shop. I later found amber ones on stems that I used for the post, but I will enjoy the short ones, too! Happy Pink Sat. and loved your table setting. My we are busy visiting folks today! Whew, my little fingers are aching already! Dana

  15. Ok Becky, now I am suffering from house envy! How long did it take you to redo the bathroom? I have one that's been in the process for 14 years! I think I need to show my husband this post...maybe it will motivate him. I think I would just lock myself in that room and not come out for days :). I hope you know I'm smiling as I type this.
Have a blessed Pink Saturday. Now I have to go repent before I look at anymore pink :0!

  16. Bats! That's too funny and disgusting at the same time. Contracts are scary, but very necessary. I went to design school and one of things my instructor kept emphasizing was never start work without typing up a contract. It protects the client as well as the designer. That's when I decided the design field wasn't for me.

Thanks for poping buy my blog.

I prefer to be called Bek, I use to get Bekky all the time growing up and in the Church we went to, and I never really liked it, I am more of a Bek. I still get Becky when I visit home. I have a friend who is a Becky and is suits her and I could not even think of calling her Bek. Funny when I think about it. How is your name spelt mine is with double K's. My dad liked the Greek way, him being a pastor and loved studing the Greek.
