Money, money, money

Did you spot it? Up there on the roof. Should we have paid close attention to this little warning that is like a banner over the house.

I am hoping that it really means that there is a gold brick, or one or two or three up there and not that this house will be a money pit.

A bit of digging in the history books of Eufaula will hopefully give us the real meaning. But until then all of the home improvement stores in town know it's meaning and say, "The owners of the old Baker house are here," cha ching! cha ching!

Hi Becky,
Well I looked at the thing on the roof....and I think it means good luck !!!! It's the fireplace thingie your talking about right ???? I have never seen one like that before so it just has got to bring you good luck.....and I think all the $$$$ and hard work you put into this lovely home will be well spent...just think someday you will look back on all the before pictures and just smile because you will have a true diamond!!!!

That fireplace thing reminds me of something chinese. Like prosperity.

This is a dream home. I would love to just go in and repaint and polish. Pulling up the carpet just revealed true beauty.

I do hope there is not more to it than meets the eye. Love the ceilings.

Hi Becky,
Is it the chimney or the little thingy that seems to be loose over to the left? A possible sheathing problem...what is that little metal thingy dangling overhead? Whatever, it will only make the house that much more endearing to you. How goes the sale of the other one, any buyers?
I hope so.
Have a blessed day.
