Springtime on the Lake

What a wonderful time of year.   It's as though the lake is dressed up in it's finest when the water lilies start to bloom.   All around the edges their white flowers sparkle in the sun luring us to come out for a closer look.
And just underneath the pads there is a fisherman/woman's delight.
Ah yes, springtime on the lake,
a perfect time of conversation between my hubby and me.  We tease back and forth about who is the better fisherman.
He likes to tell me what a good Captain he is and how a good Captain always puts you on the fish.
And an even better Captain even takes the fish off the hook.
And a Super Captain keeps you smiling to which he did.
And my Romantic Captain helped me pick a perfect lily for a spring bouquet.
Ah yes, springtime on the lake,

my favorite time of year!

Beautiful pictures. The water lilacs are so lovely. It's a pity we don't have them near here. But I hope that me and my DH can go out fishing on the lake too, especially one calm evening it's just restfull.
Hope you have a nice day.

Your post was beautiful!..love the font! gonna have to become more creative..
to answer your questions..the beach scenes are from home..my native soil..
was born and raised on the Florida panhandle at Pensacola..from there to Panama City was my childhood playground..all wild and free.. far removed from the populated mess of today..back then nothing but a string of sleepy little fishing villages..
the Peonies, Irises and Roses are at peak here in my current HOME in Denver Colorado..Have never in my life had such an array of beautiful springtime flowers at my fingertips.. thanks to my Nikon,I
have them all recorded, ready to publish..
am in the process of moving back to Pensacola..where my hubby, the physician, has recently begun working for the VA Clinic. Should be quite the change for the both of us..he's eagerly awaiting our arrival..me and the 3 felines!
come visit anytime..I am now your latest follower..perhaps we can trade fish stories..?
warmest hugs..smiles too

Hi Becky,
I'm a new follower of yours..... Looks like you we're having so much fun fishing with your sweetheart of a captain. It sounds so peaceful on the lake, I wish I was on a lake or in the country where it is peaceful! I live in a small town, it isn't noisy, but the peace of a lake is something you can't beat.

Oh, I almost forgot! We watch a show last night about a guy who fishes for monsters, like great big fish and sharks. It was something else to see what kinds of fish are in the rivers of Florida and he said that some of those sharks will migrate to fresh water. I know your on a lake, so your safe, thank goodness. You wouldn't see me swimming in the waters of Florida. NO WAY, LOL!!!

I am head over heels in love with your delightful blog. Those water lilies were heaven sent. I have not seen any that beautiful since my childhood, back in Indiana. Looks like the fishing was good too. I have been going through your past posts and all I see is lovely. I am your newest follower. Please accept my warm invitation to visit my blog, and I would feel honored if you choose to follow me, too.
Have a magnificent week,

That is so funny, in the 1st picture of you holding the fish, it looks like the face of a cat and you are holding the cat by his ear. Do you see it? I thought, "cat fish"?, it's a gag. Then I looked more closely. I guess I have too vivid an imagination!
