Pink Saturday Pink Bathroom

Happy Pink Saturday and welcome to our Pink Bathroom. When you are finished in the Powder room please go on over to Beverly's at http://www.howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ to see more pink pretties.

In this Pink Bathroom we used an old sideboard and wash bowl for our vanity. The pictures will reflect a few trips.

Which of the two mirrors do you like best?
Now we have the hardware on the vanity.
If you look out the door it leads into the sunroom. Dave pulled up the carpet and I painted the floor. I hope to one day do a faux rug. I have to practice my roses which of course will be pink!

I like the way the mirror captures the other mirror and this is a closer look at the bowl.
I found the old corner cabinet at the longest yard sale. And now to give you a peek at the start of the bedroom. A Pink duvet no less.

A Victorian Cottage Restoration is a little like the energizer bunny....it just keeps going and going and going. I really think that when it ends I will be sad because watching it change has been so much fun. I wanted to start immediately on the bathrooms. They were in such bad shape. It was like going into a public restroom taking a look around and then you just back out and say nevermind. Bathrooms are very costly so we did just what we could after the plumber discovered leaks all over the place under the house. The house needed to be completely replumbed. Then we fixed the rotten floorboard and placed tile down. It looks like marble with just a hint of pink in it. With each trip I would take something from Tampa. It is hard to decorate with all of your things in another state. But where there is a will there is a way.

These pictures refect several trips with this or that and so you won't really know what it will look like until we are totally moved in. Then perhaps I can persuade a couple of my blogging buddies to come and help me put the icing on the cake. I have always stayed in rooms at B&B's that were named for someone. So who do you think I should have decorate the rooms? I know there was a blog cabin but how about a Blog Victorian. I am loving the idea!

What a lovely pink bathroom. It must have taken so much time and effort to get it that way. It's worth it! Happy Pink Saturday! :-) Stacey

Becky, I am so loving every step of your dream project. Of course, I'm not doing all of that hard work you are, but I am living vicariously through your project. And, you are doing the most amazing job.

Now, about the mirror. At first I was certain I liked the first mirror, but then I decided I like the second. Such indecision. ;-) But, my final decision is that I like the first. Why, because I think the dimensions look great with the light fixture. I was wondering how it would look to rub just the slight gold glaze on the mirror frame to tie in to the light fixture and faucet.

Too much information, I know. I hope you aren't sorry you asked. And, I love your blog decorating idea. Too fun.

Oh it is so pretty girl....I love that wash bowl for a sink and I went back and forth looking at the mirrors and I love them both but my favorite is the round...just the way it softens the whole look but I think it would be even prettier if it were in a creamy cottagey white...but girl what do I know? lol You keep the one that calls you the most! Everything is just turning out so beautiful!!!! Have a great weekend.

Very nice transformation! I like the round mirror best as it reflects the oval in the cabinet below. I would paint it white though! Happy Pink Saturday!

Becky,
I have to say what a great job it just keeps blossoming
I am so inspired by all the wonderful ideas. On the mirror they both look great I love the first choice reason being it reflects the look of furniture with the sink plus it's light in color so it doesn't look heavy. Either choice is eye candy!!! Love it

Hi Becky! (me jumping up an down waving my hands) can I come? Can I come help "ice the cake"? OH! How FUN that would be!! YOU are doing all the hard work--and a beautiful job of it, I might add! And what fun it would be to get together to decorate! sigh.
Love the bathroom and the bowl you used for a sink--genius!!
I prefer the gold oval mirror--for me it breaks up all the white, ties in with the light fixtures and water faucets.
All GORGEOUS!! You're doing a great job!!!

Gorgeous. What a great sideboard you found for the project! I like the towel bar at the end.
Was that bowl a vintage peice that you cut a hole in, or was it ordered or something? FAB.

I like both mirrors, but I think I like the round one best. I like how the oval one is reflected too.

The corner cab is too cute.

The sun room is awesome too, gotta love those painted floors!

It's obvious by the beauty of your bathroom and bedroom that a lot of hard work and talent have been given to your project. For me the highlight of your bathroom is the lovely sink. Your bedroom is stunning. Happy Pink Saturday.

First I had to laugh. What is it with all these bloggy bathrooms this week? LOL

Yours is to die for, though. I love EVERYTHING about it. Absolutely EVERYTHING! Just let me roll out a cushy pallet to sleep on & I could live in that room.

By the way, I like the 1st mirror the best. But it might be the white that sold me on it. Maybe if the 2nd one was painted white I'd love it just as much. I don't know. Two many decisions. lol

Happy Pink Saturday!

I'm almost embarrassed to post mine on my blog after seeing the incredible job you've done. I like the white mirror best; with a little gold rubbed into the frame.
Great job!

Oh My Gosh! Becky, you saw the dream and are making it come true. I love everything you have done to the prettiest cottage ever. I think the white mirror reflects the feel of the outside of the house. However, I think the accessories tie in the oval mirror well too. So sorry your chandelier was a bummer! I like the bling on the temporary one though. Love the little guest towel rack in the powder room too.

Good heavens! The vanity! The corner cabinet! The square mirror (my fave)! I am swooning.

Lovely bathroom and bedroom! I think I like the first mirror the best, I just like how it fits under the lights, and the white of it in the room. I like Beverly's idea of adding some gold to it, to tie it in with the faucet and light fixture.

I'm so impressed, you seem to be flying through these renovations! (although to you, who are actually doing the work, it probably doesn't seem like it!)

Have a lovely day!

Hi, I just found your blog and I have to say; I am a country prim girl myself but I have a secret girly cottage side too. I love your home. The bathroom vanity and sink is AWESOME! I recently saw a teacup chandalier with mix and match pastel cups and saucers that would be absolutely gorgeous in your home. I'm sure it would be fairly simple to make one of your own. Anyway, thanks for sharing your beautiful home. Dena~
