A few more pictures of the Living Room

I am still working on the curtain for this window. But if you could see the lace you could see that it has birds in it too. If you click on the picture above you can see that the chair has a bird on it too. You may also see where Dave broke an ornament but I actually decided to leave it on the table because the broken pieces were pretty too. Have you ever kept broken things?

We finally got the mirror hung. I just hope it is still on the wall when we get back to Eufaula.
It is different hanging things on plaster. Dave had to use a small board kind of like a picture rails to hang the mirror. He promised it was so sturdy that he could hang off of it.
Hang off of it, he will, if that mirror is on the floor when we get back.
I am just kidding. He is such a wonderful man.

Hi!
The house is looking great. I love the sofa!
It is cold in VA and there has been snow around us but not here in Roanoke. We tend to luck out on that a lot. I think it's the mountains that surround us. I hope everything is going well with you. Take care

Hi Becky,
It all looks beautiful! I love your clock. Seeing it makes me want to go and paint mine white. You asked if anyone ever keeps broken stuff! Well...I'm the queen of that! Just ask my kids! A couple of years ago, I got to bring home a whole lot of broken ornaments from the store that I work at. They were going to throw them away. I had planned to make a wreath with them. I was gonna glue the broken side to the wreath so you couldn't tell that they were damaged. Well...that year we had just moved into a rental trailer until I found my cottage to buy. I couldn't find my ornaments in storage so my little boy and I decided to decorate the tree with all of the broken glass ornaments. He was 5 years old at the time. He loved it. We called it our 'misfit' tree. Everyone got a kick out of it.(I have some pictures of it somewhere} It was a great conversation piece and it turned out beautiful. Sorry my comment is so long.

Hugs,
Lee Laurie

P.S. Everyone still saves me their broken ornaments!

Good morning Becky,
I had to laugh about your broken ornament...my house is filled with broken things...everywhere. I think they remind me of broken people and how the Lord can mend us all.
I hope you're having a fun precursor to Christmas.

Lots of hugs, Cori

Becky, Everything looks lovely, as always. The clock is stunning. The colors in your house are very cozy, yet elegant and really showcase your furnishings and accessories. Kudos!!

The picture with the mirror is lovely, I like that the tree is reflected in the mirror. Not sure if you did that on purpose, but it's beautiful. You could crop that and it would make a great image for a greeing card.

What transformation. I can't believe how much you've done in such a short amount of time. The blue antique furniture is gorgious...where on earth did you find it? It's definately not too much blue for me. I love the pale hues of blue, it's so calm and heavenly.
